Winter Weddings | Ways to keep warm

Winter Wedding Ideas

Blankets for your guests, mince pies, candles by the dozen, mulled cider…just some of the wonderfully romantic and creative ways to add something special (and warm to your winter wedding).

Mulled Cider is a lovely, warming post church drink that won’t cause a threat to the bride’s dress like Mulled Wine does! See a very simple and delicious recipe below.

Ingredients

3½pts/2L dry cider or fresh apple juice
2 apples studded with cloves
4-6 cinnamon sticks
5-6 allspice berries
zest of 1 orange
dark rum (optional)
slices of apple for garnish

Preparation method

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and simmer gently for 30 minutes – do not boil.
Transfer to a heatproof bowl and ladle into glass mugs or paper cups. Garnish with apple slices to serve.
This serves 8-10

Candles

If you are looking to buy lots of small pillar candles, Ikea are selling a 4 pack for £1.75 with a burn time of 15 hours.

You have may stumbled across this new page of ours already, you may not have  – Long Table Decoration – gives you ideas, thoughts and tips on Long Tables at your wedding.

Long wedding tables are becoming really popular at weddings as they are really sociable and there are so many beautiful ways in which to dress them; at one end of the scale you can look at Hessian runners offsetting a rustic chic setting, at the other you can achieve a sense of grandeur and opulence.
